Dear readers of JBS, Greetings from the Editorial Team!
You might be aware that an all India seminar titled "Towards Classical Status for Bengali Language" will be organized on 15 April 2016 in Kolkata at Mahabodhi Society Hall, from 1pm onwards by Shoptodina Foundation.
Our Editorial team is busy in the organizational work for that seminar, and the erstwhile schedule (Bengali New Year, 14 April 2016) of the publication of JBS Vol5, No1, on the theme of "Foreign Encounters" was clashing with that programme.
We have therefore decided to defer the publication of the upcoming issue of JBS. It will now be published on 9 May 2016, on the occasion of Okkhoy Tritiya.
The deadline for submission of articles, reviews and workshops is now extended to 25 April 2016.
